Tahatian Village - The Nunns, the Varns, Patti and I and the rest of the Village People (YMCA) lost electricity this morning around 6 AM during the coldest weather in the last decade here in SXSW Texas. I awoke in my Igloo with frost on my blankets and the emegency lights going on and off and on and off and oh god please not no and of course on and off for one more last time and then off for good. We waited. And waited some more. Sunrise. I investigated. Found out my neighbors were up a frozen creek too. I felt like a Texas pioneer - and started widdling some wood - what the hell was I to do with myself with no demon electricity??? - what a wild world web we 20 10 A D D monkees live in - even the cell phone was out! No social media! Davy Crockett!!! Around noon the Bluebonnnet Electric pole guys figured it out. Forgetaboutit! Check out Scarletts playhouse that Toby recently built and I hope he added a childproof fireplace!
